A journey needs a good guide, suitable terrain, and something to eat along the way!
At Trails, we believe the educational journey children embark on, is no different:
- Their guides are our gifted educators, backed by our unique 7 Pathways Curriculum – equipping them for whatever they need for the journey ahead
- The terrain: our stunning bush gardens and state of the art facilities – the perfect environment for children to explore the world around them and their special place in it
- And finally, something to eat? Our Trail Kitchen uses fresh ingredients harvested from the onsite gardens and as many local producers to provide delicious, colourful, and nutritious meals to fuel the little wanderers

Curriculum
A teaching style that pairs leading cognitive research and storytelling tradition.
Our 7 Pathways Curriculum is curated by our gifted educators to meet the different needs of each child. We place a huge emphasis on play and exploration to help enrich a child’s connection to the world, their community, and themselves.
Movement
Whether it’s honing gross motor skills with a game or cutting loose with a dance party, at Trails children learn by doing, helping them gain life skills to be school-ready.
Numeracy
To promote numeracy skills our educators help foster children’s left brain logic by seamlessly integrating number theory into their regular day.
Art
Child-lead learning is at the forefront of our Art Pathway where children are encouraged to exercise their right brain creativity with painting, craft, and sculptures.
Literacy
Informed by research that suggests children learn better through stories, at Trails our Literacy Pathway is informed by rich storytelling traditions from many cultures.
Nutrition
Children learn where their food comes from; why it’s important for mind, body, and spirit, and participate in rituals of sharing and serving at meal times.
Music
Through our music program we help children channel their creativity, develop new skills and learn to trust their intuition.
STEM
At Trails we use techniques like questioning, shared thinking and problem solving to help children understand the world around them.
Environments
Sustainable bush gardens merge with modern facilities to create the perfect setting for children to adventure.
The beautiful environment at Trails serves as a ‘third teacher’ – a place where children can make friends and take risks, a natural environment that helps them understand the world around them and their special place in it. Peppered across our centre are endless challenges for children to explore: water play area, bike tracks, cubby houses, scramble nets, monkey bars, slacklines.
Whether it’s with our messy art area or our Story Circle, at Trails, children can have both secluded play and come together to learn with each other.

Trails Kitchen
Our professional chefs lovingly prepare a changing seasonal menu with locally sourced produce in our state-of-the-art Trail Kitchen with careful consideration for different children’s dietary, religious and cultural requirements.
Mealtime Rituals
At Trails we believe meal time is learning time. Meals at Trails form an important time for us to take a break, be thankful for what we have, celebrate significant milestones in the life of the children and encourage them to serve others.
Sustainability
Children regularly pick herbs and bush tucker from our gardens to help contribute to mealtimes. At Trails we encourage our children to help us look after our planet with careful disposal of waste, minimal packaging and composting.
