Our flagship Service, located in the newly developed Oran Park Podium shopping precinct in Sydney’s South West, is set to open in early 2025. The Trails Oran Park Podium facility is designed to incorporate natural elements, abundant light, fresh air, and ample space in both indoor and outdoor areas. With dedicated parking, secure site access, ateliers, age specific classrooms, and playscapes, our children and educators have everything they need to teach, grow, learn, and develop.

What we’re looking for

We seek a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Educator who:

• Holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Has current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications
• Possesses a valid Working with Children Check
• Understands the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Brings a warm, professional approach to working with children and families

Your Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development
• Engage in meaningful interactions with children and families
• Assist with daily routines including food preparation and room maintenance
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive service environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and management

Assistant Educator Position – Trails Learning

We are seeking an inspiring and experienced assistant Educator to join our team at Trails Early Learning Oran Park Podium.

In this crucial role, you will lead the pedagogical practice of our service, implementing our innovative Trails 7 Pathways of Learning curriculum while drawing inspiration from Reggio Emilia principles and ensuring alignment with the EYLF and exceeding the National Quality Standards.

This role is for a passionate, driven Early Childhood Educator who wants to make a difference.

About you

• Relevant qualifications – Diploma or Cert III in ECE
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
• Current Working with Children Check and Child Protection Certificate
• Knowledge of both the EYLF and NQS
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and high standards for environmental presentation
• A confident and warm manner with families, team and the community
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A desire to leave a positive legacy for the enrolled children and their associated community
• Commitment to maintaining current knowledge and attend additional training as necessary
• A desire and ability to support and promote Christian values such as generosity, courage, love, respect, hope and peace

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome each child and their family to the service each day and ensure communication is meaningful.
• Be professional, kind, and respectful in all that you do and say.
• Communicate positively and respectfully with children, families, management, and other educators.
• Establishing relationships and developing positive interactions with children, families, and educators.
• Commitment to on-going learning and development as a professional under the Code of Ethics
• Giving each child individual attention and comfort as required.
• Basic duties including food preparation, cleaning, and gardening.
• Do your part to ensure that all educators, children, and families have a sense of belonging at the service and that their experiences are positive.
• Ensure that all information provided to you via parent and staff conversations and phone calls are passed on to the appropriate persons in a confidential and respectful manner.
